部分的API、Interface等為Nokia開發，所以稱為Series XX Platform。

# UIQ 系列
UIQ是另一家開發Symbian OS介面與功能的公司。
除了SE P系列使用之外還有Nokia 6708 & BenQ P3x

## 為什麼要有這麼多種不同的使用者介面？ ##
Symbian 在很早的階段就已經把彈性化的使用者介面納入設計目標
目的是為了讓製造商能夠有最大的彈性
研發出具有差異化與創新性的介面與硬體
(例如Nokia的閃光螢幕和SE的滾輪)

## Type.1 帶有數字鍵盤的移動裝置 ##
裝置特點: 搖桿/軟鍵/滾輪+傳統數字鍵盤+單手操作
使用重點: 語音通話 (外型與一般手機接近)
使用介面: S60 ~ 176x208 / 240x320 / 352x416
手機範例: 6260, 6680, 7610, N90, etc

## Type.2 帶有觸控螢幕的移動裝置 ##
裝置特點: 手寫+雙手操作
使用重點: 網路與多媒體檔案瀏覽、執行程式
使用介面: UIQ(直式螢幕)、S90(橫式螢幕)
手機範例: SE P Series, Moto A1000, Nokia 6708, etc & Nokia 7710

## Type.3 帶有完整鍵盤與大螢幕的移動裝置 ##
裝置特點: 完整鍵盤輸入+雙手操作
使用重點: 適合專家與商務人士編輯與管理各種資訊＆資料
使用介面: S80
